About GEF Meadowlark Place

Meadowlark Place Lodge is a single-storey building with 58 units, including six mobility-accessible units. This community is notable for being all on one level and for the mature, park-like grounds surrounding the building and an outdoor courtyard and gazebo in the south yard. The Lodge provides on-site dining with meals prepared by a Red Seal Chef, recreation programming by an Activity and Wellness Coordinator, non-medical staff on-site 24-hours a day, and once-a-week housekeeping and linen service.

Located in the northwest, residential Elmwood neighbourhood, with ETS bus routes and Meadowlark Mall nearby, this community offers easy access restaurants, grocery stores, pharmacies, and shopping. As well, West Edmonton Mall is moments away and the Misericordia Hospital is only a five-minute drive away.

About this neighbourhood

Meadowlark and Elmwood is an older residential neighbourhood with mature trees and shrubbery. The area is accessible for walking in the neighbourhood safely. The Meadowlark Lodge is nestled in a well-kept, park-like setting.

The neighborhood is very community based. Schools, daycares, and organized children’s groups, such as Sparks, are all around and often visit the lodge. On those visiting days, there is heightened joy in the lodge. It is a delight seeing the groups walk to and from the lodge for the visit.

Meadowlark Mall is nearby and within walking distance, which includes shopping, medical centres, doctors’ offices, and a lab. West Edmonton Mall is also close.
