About this neighbourhood
Meadowlark and Elmwood is an older residential neighbourhood with mature trees and shrubbery. The area is accessible for walking in the neighbourhood safely. The Meadowlark Lodge is nestled in a well-kept, park-like setting.
The neighborhood is very community based. Schools, daycares, and organized children’s groups, such as Sparks, are all around and often visit the lodge. On those visiting days, there is heightened joy in the lodge. It is a delight seeing the groups walk to and from the lodge for the visit.
Meadowlark Mall is nearby and within walking distance, which includes shopping, medical centres, doctors’ offices, and a lab. West Edmonton Mall is also close. There is an ETS bus service on 87 Avenue and at Meadowlark Mall. The City of Edmonton is also in the process of construction for the newest line of the LRT.
