About this neighbourhood

McQueen is a neighbourhood that feels like a family, with a strong sense of caring, safety, and community. Everyone looks out for each other. It is one of the smallest communities in Edmonton, but it has the most green spaces. On an early morning, you will often see wildlife, including rabbits, deer, and sometimes coyotes in the area. The community has many parks and schools nearby. It is wonderful to have the students join the residents at the lodge and share performances with them. Everyone smiles from ear to ear!

A fun fact about the neighbourhood is that is it named after Rev. David George McQueen, who served as a minister for 43 years at Edmonton’s First Presbyterian Church, from 1887-1930.

What's nearby:

McQueen is fairly central to getting to all ends of the city. It is extremely close to Westmount Mall, grocery stores, Walmart, several banks, restaurants, and other smaller stores. As well, you are just moments away from the Telus World of Science, Peter Hemingway Fitness and Leisure Centre, and Coronation Park Area.
