About GEF Beverly Place

Beverly Place Lodge is a three-storey building with 73 units, including four mobility-accessible units. The building amenities include units with walk-in showers, as well as a spacious lounge with picture windows and fireplace, tuck shop, and outdoor courtyards with a community garden for entertaining or relaxing. The Lodge provides on-site dining with meals prepared by a Red Seal Chef, recreation programming by an Activity and Wellness Coordinator, non-medical staff on-site 24-hours a day, and once-a-week housekeeping and linen service.

Located in the northeast, historical Beverly Heights neighbourhood, the Lodge is co-located with Porta Place Apartments. This community offers tree-lined walking trails and, being just off busy 118 Avenue, easy access to restaurants, bakeries, grocery stores, pharmacies, and ETS bus routes.

About this neighbourhood

Beverly Heights is a historical neighbourhood, also known as Olde Town Beverly. The mature neighbourhood is scattered with an abundance of old trees and older homes. It is in a well-maintained area with large lots with an ethnically diverse population. Residents of the community take great pride in their neighbourhood.

A fun fact about the neighbourhood is that it was once built on a coal mine. It was incorporated as a village in 1913, became a town in 1914, and was amalgamated with the City of Edmonton in 1961.
