About this neighbourhood

The McQueen neighbourhood feels like a family. There is a strong sense of caring, safety and community. Everyone looks out for each other. McQueen is one of the smallest communities in Edmonton, but has the most green space. On an early morning, you will often see wildlife: rabbits, deer and sometimes coyotes in the area. The community has many parks and schools nearby. It is wonderful to have the students join the residents at the lodge and share performances with them. Everyone smiles from ear to ear!

A fun fact about the McQueen neighbourhood is that is it named after Rev. David George McQueen, who served as a minister for 43 years at Edmonton’s First Presbyterian Church, from 1887-1930.
