About this neighbourhood

The Ritchie Neighbourhood is nestled between the parkland of Mill Creek Ravine and the buzz of Whyte Avenue’s nightlife and is one of Edmonton’s most up-and-coming communities. In addition to the Mill Creek ravine, Ritchie features a series of parks and trails that run along the central spine of the neighbourhood.

Ritchie was named for Robert Ritchie, former Mayor of the Town of Strathcona and original owner of the Ritchie Mill, the oldest flour mill in Alberta, which still stands, as an historic site, at 102 Street and Saskatchewan Drive.
