About this neighbourhood

Queen Mary Park neighbourhood is a mature, residential setting with heritage buildings and history dating back to the turn of the century. It is located just outside of Edmonton’s downtown core and is one of the city’s oldest communities.

A fun fact about the neighbourhood is that this area was once part of the Hudson’s Bay Company reserve. In 1885, a group of businessmen bought 40 acres from Hudson’s Bay and established the Edmonton Cemetery, which holds a “Field of Honour”, holding over 600 veterans from the Boer War, WWI, and WWII.

Being so close to Edmonton’s downtown, there is no shortage of shopping, entertainment, restaurants, schools, and places of worship.
